... About Us ...
Hunter Early Learning & Nurture Centre was designed by two Newcastle Early Childhood Teachers with a vision of creating a centre of excellence within the Maitland and Hunter community.
Committed to providing high quality early learning and care environments, as well as innovative programs for children and their families, Hunter Early Learning began as a dream and came to fruition with the assistance of Funding by three local families.
... Our Dream ...
Founded in 2007 with a vision and aim of creating a place for children to live, learn and grow, Hunter Early Learning respects and nurtures the UNIQUENESS and POTENTIAL of EACH child and actively promotes the early childhood years as a time for discovery, exploration and the development of lifelong learning skills.
All of our 25 staff are highly trained, and ALL with Early Childhood Qualifications, Including 5 University Trained Teachers. We share a passion and drive for delivering INNOVATIVE and exciting programs, learning stories, provocations and environments for children.
Our environment resembles a home away from home... wooden furniture, shag pile rugs, lamps, neutral colours and relaxing, non-evasive music, all designed to create calm, inviting spaces for children to feel comfortable as well as to assist in cultivating a space for children to focus whilst gaining the confidence to explore, discover and investigate their surroundings.
Our resources were individually hand selected and sourced from Sweden and Germany, as well as utilising the local toy makers from our community. The vast majority of our Unique toys are not normally seen in child care centres... Our beautiful wooden toys provide children with rich learning experiences, and provide opportunities to manipulate, explore and learn with resources that are different than what they have at home.
Our Centre is strictly guided by the 'Good for Kids, Good for Life' program which promotes Healthy eating habits and active play for children.
Our Chef follows strict guidelines when cooking up her delicious meals - ALL FRESH, local produce!!
